All OEMs: Elevated error rates for API requests for Charge Limit Requests

Incident Report for Smartcar Brand Reliability

Resolved

The issue has been resolved. All systems are now operating normally.

During the incident, we identified an issue where the state of charge (SoC) and charge limit values were returned at 100x the expected scale.

These fields are expected to be returned as decimal values between 0 and 1 (for example, 0.52 representing 52%). During the incident window, values were returned as whole percentages instead (for example, 52 instead of 0.52).

The issue has been resolved and values are now being returned in the expected format.

If you continue to experience any issues, please reach out to our Support team at support@smartcar.com. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Identified

We’ve identified the root cause of the elevated 500 errors impacting Charge Limit requests, including batch requests that contain Charge Limit, across all OEMs. Our team is actively working on deploying a fix.

Requests to other endpoints, as well as batch requests that do not contain Charge Limit, should continue to function normally.

We’ll provide a follow-up update as soon as the resolution is live. We appreciate your patience while we work to resolve this.
